Hendricks thinks he can punch it off the back foot but fails to keep it down. Might have come off the toe-end actually and Abell gobbles up that chance with ease. A cutter on a fullish length on off. Brevis, seeing the length, tries to tonk it into tomorrow. But because the ball is going away from him, he does not get the contact he wants. 12.6 to CA Ingram, nicked and gone! An over that started so badly for Swanepoel, ends in the best possible manner! Changes up the length and goes short outside off. Might have been a cutter and that bounces like a tennis ball. Ingram, looking to glide it over point, gets a feather and Stubbs does the rest. 5.6 to C Esterhuizen, goes straight up, and Esterhuizen bites the dust! Banged into the track on off and like earlier in the over, this gets onto Esterhuizen much quicker than he expects. Gets big on him, near his back shoulder and he miscues his pull. Swanepoel calls for it early from short fine leg and makes no mistake!. 36/2 16.3 to Rashid Khan, oh dear - the wheels are coming off for the visitors! Dug into the track outside off, daring Rashid to go over mid off. He takes up that invitation but comes up second-best. Comfortably. Cannot get on top of the bounce and spoons it straight to Swanepoel at extra cover. 6.3 to HE van der Dussen, knocks him over! Dawson has his revenge, and MICT are three down! Very similar length to the previous ball, pitching on off. Not quite full enough to swipe across the line and the ball keeps a little low too, while also spinning away a shade. 15.6 to Azmatullah Omarzai, with the wind, but still not enough! Harmer has a wicket on opening day! Given a bit of air, on a length on leg stump. Omarzai skips down but does not get to the pitch of the ball. Goes through with his swing anyway and cloths it towards Hermann at long on. 2.5 to Z Crawley, zing bails go flying, and Boult has his man! A wonderful set-up and an even better climax. Pitches this on a length outside off. Jags back in with the angle and Crawley, swiping across the line, is all at sea. Misses the ball completely and it smashes into the top of off stump. The change of angle works a charm, and Boult is again doing what he does in the powerplay!. 14/1 2.6 to TB Abell, straight back at Boult, and he has a double-wicket maiden, just like that! Full on middle and leg. Seems to stick in the surface a shade and Abell, looking to drive down the ground, is early into the stroke. Chips it back at Boult. who gets his bearings right and holds on. 3.2 to J Hermann, Hermann bites the dust too! MICT have this change-of-angle-change-of-fortunes trick on loop. Hard length on off and Hermann thinks he can pick this up over the deep square leg fence. Gets a top edge, though, and Bosch tracks it all the way from deep square leg. 9.2 to T Stubbs, the pressure tells, and the Sunrisers Eastern Cape sink further into trouble! Linde dangles the carrot on middle and off, and Stubbs bites. He backs away, hoping to go inside-out but cuts across it too much. Slices it straight up and Bosch, moving to his right from sweeper cover, pouches it safely. 10.1 to B Swanepoel, oh, that is a pearler! No ring-rust at all from Potgieter and he slips in a searing yorker first up. Right on middle stump and Swanepoel cannot jam his bat down in time. The ball thunders into middle stump and the defending champions are staring down the barrel!. 49/5 10.3 to DG Bedingham, oh dear - it is all falling apart for Sunrisers Eastern Cape! And Potgieter is having a ball in Gqberha! Length outside off. Bedingham shimmies across his stumps and tries to flick it through mid wicket. Bad choice, especially on a track that is holding up and is two-paced. Gets a leading edge for his troubles and Ingram completes the catch at extra cover!. 49/6 10.5 to AK Markram, nicked and gone! Potgieter is bowling the spell of his dreams here! Back of a length in that probing corridor just outside off. Rears up a smidgen and Markram fends at it with hard hands. The ball kisses the shoulder of the bat and floats through to Esterhuizen. Markram is stunned, as are the thousands wearing orange in the stands. They cannot believe what they are seeing, and they are not the only ones to feel so!. 50/7 12.2 to LA Dawson, Potgieter has four, and the Sunrisers Eastern Cape are falling like a pack of cards!
