The batter couldn't get into a still position before trying to slash a drive over cover. Got it flat and straight to Motie. 1.2 to RD Rickelton, Rickelton flashes and nicks off. Forde yells, leaps and pumps his fists in delight. Was a wide, shortish ball and the batter wanted to carve it with absolute power. Might've held in the surface, looked to have deviated away from the bat. Took the toe of the bat, easy catch. 5/1 3.5 to AK Markram, Markram holes out to mid-on. Risky shot, trying to whip it over mid-on, on the rise. Fair enough in T20s but the length ball at 128ks that may have stuck in the pitch. Took the bottom of the bat and gave Forde his second. He's just as pumped as he was after the first. 23/2 16.1 to PE Kruger, Forde returns and breaks the stand. Very full on middle, Kruger shuffles across off, falls on the floor, and miscues a scoop straight to short fine leg. Kruger falls for 44. Impressive innings, nevertheless. 113/6 | ||||||||||

4.1 to RR Hendricks, The Shamarman carries his excellence into the T20Is. This length ball was a touch too straight but didn't rise as much as Hendricks expected. He tried to whip it square on the leg side but got a leading edge that somehow carried to deep third. A few steps to the right for Hosein, takes it easily. 23/3 6.1 to HE van der Dussen, Appeal for strangled down leg and vdD walks! Shamar cranks up the pace to 140ks, fulller side of length but down leg, the batter wanted to glance it fine but feathered it. Low bounce too, got it from knee-roll height even though he was on the back foot. Shamar - initially in doubt - is delighted as his second over, like the first, starts with a wicket. 33/4 | ||||||||||

No sideways movement, Athanaze's grip on the bat got loose and that cost him. Excellent delivery from Baartman, though. Hope chats with Pooran and calls for a review of the on-field out decision. Hope plays around his front pad and is struck well below the knee-roll.
