1.1 to CP Jewell, Freebie for Payne for first ball. It was wide on a back of length, just 127ks, Jewell stayed back and timed the pull sweetly, but hit it straight under D Short's throat at midwicket. Kind of a soft dismissal from a powerful shot.. 6/1 | ||||||||||

3.3 to M Wright, Leading edge, it's a skier, Carey gets under and takes it! Overton rewarded right after pulling his length back to the good part. Wright crouched a bit and tried picking it up around the corner but couldn't judge the bounce properly, it went right up; Carey took a few steps forward - to the diagonal right - and gobbled it.. 24/2 3.5 to SR Hain, That's an awkward caught behind Hain's premeditation cost him there, he went across early for the scoop, saw the ball was wide on a length and decided to change his shot. But the steer to third - despite first slip in place - ended up being a tickle to the keeper. Overton's double strike at the end of the powerplay extends Strikers' dominance. 24/3 17.5 to CJ Jordan, Lbw appeal. Not given, Strikers review. Jordan was premeditating, went back in the crease and across to off as Overton was delivering from wide of the crease. So the bowler went for the leg-stump yorker, Jordan was beaten on the flick and got hit on the boot while staying inside the crease. And Ian Bishop's instinct on comms, that it was hitting leg stump, was correct. Great cameo from Jordan though. 142/7 | ||||||||||

11.3 to TH David, Pope lures David out. It's Splashed straight to Overton at long-off. Was looped up close to the off-side wide line, out of David's hitting arc, but he tried to lump it anyway. Reached out and clothed it straight to the fielder.. 66/6 | ||||||||||

6.2 to CJ Anderson, Swept straight to deep midwicket. Anderson tried breaking free after a slow start, saw it on a length and tried to clear the ropes, maybe go squarer too. Ended up bread-basketing it to Overton. 35/4 6.2 to N Chaudhary, Stumping appeal, sharp work from Carey but does he have him? The first replay's on and Carey might've caught Chaudhary on the line. Was a fullish ball down leg that went past the flick, Chaudhary overbalanced forward and had his fist on the ground in an attempt to keep his heel grounded. He did that but kinda got stuck and couldn't slide back in. Great work from Carey who caught the ball with both hands but slid it to the right and took off the bails in one motion. 36/5 | ||||||||||

2.5 to DJM Short, Nearly a collision but David pouches it at mid-off. Back-of-hand slower one works for Ellis. Wide and full at 116ks, D Short reached out and tried lashing it down town. Chipped it off the edge. Jordan was running in towards David but that didn't distract David. Ellis is pumped.. 45/1 13.2 to AJ Hose, Ellis blows Hose down with a 135ks yorker!
